There seems to be a limit if the second note number is higer then 29, for exampel:

"Sub Level 31 from Top Level 30" is not shown in the Advanced Search.

Is there any psosibility to set thie Limit higher (e.g. 100) ?

When managing a field option using

Team Centre > Manage Resources > Manage Field Options

the text box does not escape double quotes (") properly. They disappear from the text field and presumably break the value if it gets submitted. (I didn't submit any values as I discovered this on a production system.)

Any WAV, MP3 file I try to click download it only plays and there is no way of actually saving the file (right click/save as only saves the web page). Also similar issues using Internet Explorer if Quicktime is installed on the PC.

When I change username either for the account I'm logged in from or managing someone else's account, that account is no longer accessible with either the old or new username using the existing password. The only way to fix it is to login as that user from a superuser account and then change the password.

When using Staticsync with "staticsync_autotheme" and "staticsync_ingest" enabled, the collections created inside ResourceSpace can not be selected, nor edited.

Apparently, this is because staticsync doesn't assign a user ID to the newly created collections. Manually giving the collections a user ID makes the problem go away.

I'm not sure whether this is a staticsync or RS bug.

Hi Dan,

i encountered a glitch while using RS. I made a collection and its more than 200 hundred already which automatically a message pops out the too many thumbnails and "show thumbs" will be disabled.

it work fine with Safari cause it just collapsed the panel and I can click "view all". but when i tried it with my firefox browser, the same message popped out, however the my collections panel is blank. The panel is still showing (expanded) but it only shows the background. have not tried it with chrome.

What to do?

In IE8 and probably other versions, the collection frame can't be resized, except when you start dragging it – without the mouse cursor changing – from the very left of the window.

When any user tries to download any of the images uploaded, the file downloads and then when opened says that the file appears to be damaged, corrupted, or too large.
I had a look around a few forums which suggested setting $exiftool_write=true;
to false in the config.php.
I have tried this and it did not work.
I have also ran the Installation check and everything came back ok.
HELP!!

Checkbox fields are not proberly searched if there are special chars (i.e. -) or SQL keywords in it (i.e. by). So a checkbox "Offered by" breaks the searchability.

We created a custom field for our resources of type "checkbox list". When we do a search for both the custom field and a search string, we get no results. When we search using just the search string OR just the custom field, results appear. There are definitely items that meet both the search string and custom field criteria.

Build 2875. A couple of updates ago the ability to rotate the preview thumbnails and see the thumbnails rotate while you do it broke. Now when I rotate the images (Edit Resource -> Edit Preview Images), the image rotates in the background but the thumbs don't move. When you look at them after rotating them (in the search view) the thumbs are distorted. The larger preview image, however, is rotated just fine.

Given an SMTP server that only accepts anonymous connections, it is necessary to hard-code "$mail->SMTPAuth = false" in general.php.

The attached patch introduces the $smtp_auth variable to config.default.php, which is consumed in general.php when setting up the SMTP variables.

The problem seems to be that Resourcespace (using exiftool) during the download of a resource writes keywords as a single block and they do not reimport into a photo manager like Adobe Bridge as individual keywords.

For example, if writing keywords back out using the exiftool command line like this:
-Keywords:"word1, word2, two words, word 4"

Then Adobe Bridge interprets this as one big keyword with quotes on either end -- not individual keywords.

An additional issue is that if one has significant keywords that sum to longer than 64 bytes, then the keyword data gets clipped. My understanding is that the IPTC standard allows an unlimited number of keywords, but each keyword is limited to 64 characters/bytes.

It seems that the proper way with exiftool to write keyword data is like this:
-Keywords:"word1" -Keywords="word2" -Keywords="two words" -Keywords="word 4"

This happens in include/resource_functions.php and it looks like there needs to be a modification that forces keywords to be written as separate command line options, not as a single block.

I run a resourcespace site in Denmark, and all of our content gets marked with danish characters. Therefore our database and filestore is setup using UTF-8.
However when zipping a collection of files, the names of the zipped files gets these weird characters.
I have corrected this issue on my own, by changing this line (146 per rev 2860):
$newpath=get_temp_dir() . "/" . $filename;
To:
$newpath=get_temp_dir() . "/" . utf8_decode($filename);

However, i can't commit the change to SVN.

1) Setting the 'b' permissions does not totally prevent access to collection functionality.

The backdoor opening is via Public Collections URL => [select a collection] => Select Collection.

There, what would have been available in the footer frame now becomes a full page whereby Create Collection, Manage My Collection and Request All are available even to Anonymous users (Guests) when the Public Collection link is enabled so the 'categories' (collections) can be chosen by them for viewing.

NOTE: The Anonymous user can also Delete the collections created either by that person or another Anonymous user.

2) Also, the Request All link is enabled despite having 'Can make resource requests' (q) permissions unchecked.

This product would be superb if I could reliably upload images.

I have tried the Java upload but get the error message contained on the attached file.

The flash uploader works most of the time, but randomly fails to create alternative files or previews. Once the file has failed, I can't make it work for love nor money. Deleting the file and starting again always results in the same failure.

I have tried Firefox, Seamonkey, Chrome and Camino and the errors are consistent.

I am able to add a file more than once. If there is e.g. a MD5-Hash, then my colleague does not add the same file. We store all publications in the resources, so the information is not complete in the second resource, because the publications are not shared over both resources with the same file.
